My name is Myriam Levine-Kay. I am a former professional choreographer & digital filmmaker (MA in film studies). In June 2021, I lost my home in a fire tragedy. I created this digital Dance Museum , while living in transitional housing (for women who've lost their homes) for a period of 8 months. The present objective of my dance museum is to help me raise enough donations to move out of transitional housing and have a home again. Thank you for not remaining indifferent and for offering your gift of support.

Help a Hemiplegic
Dancer To Walk Again

In April 2021 I lost my former dance studio, (which was also my former home), and all my professional dance costumes in a fire tragedy. Since the fire tragedy, I became wheelchair-dependent, as a result of severe spinal injuries I sustained, when I jumped out of a burning window from third floor of my former dance studio, (and former home), to save my life. After the fateful fall, I was taken to ER at a local hospital, but the doctors could not perform the complicated spinal surgery, (to help me walk again), because I could not afford it - I don’t have medical insurance, (or tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket to pay for these costly medical procedures). I created my Dance Museum Fundraiser with long-term "Rehabilitation from Disability" objective -- to raise enough Museum patronage donations to afford a series of spinal surgeries — to restore mobility of my legs to be able to walk and dance again in future. When you sign up as a Dance Museum Supporter, your generous donation, (at any Tier of Support), will give me hope to have a future free from disability and also will help me raise enough money to have my own home, where I can live independently again.
You can make a difference in my rehabilitation efforts, by joining as a Museum Patron. With much gratitude, Ulitta K.Segal
